The Policy Training Academy provides an opportunity for community leaders who already do prevention and healing work in the District to add new tools to their advocacy toolbelts. For one full week, they train with DC Justice Lab’s team and develop proposals that combine academic research with their lived expertise to address a problem that affect public safety. And, on the following Saturday, they present those proposals to the public at the Community Safety Fair.
